Elden Ring Crossplay

Elden Ring releases on February 25, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. In case you don’t want to explore the Lands Between all on your own, you can engage in co-op and PvP play.

Will Elden Ring Support Crossplay?

The fact that Elden Ring is available on several platforms and offers an online multiplayer mode inevitably raises the question: Will Elden Ring support cross-platform play? Is it possible for example that a friend that plays on PC and a friend that plays on PS5 play together?

So far, there hasn’t been an official announcement from Bandai Namco regarding potential crossplay support in Elden Ring.

Crossplay wasn’t available during the Closed Network Test back in November 2021. But during the Test, cross-gen gameplay was supported, meaning that players on PS4 and PS5 could play together as well as players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

TLDR

On release, Elden Ring will very likely support cross-gen play on PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S as this was already a feature during the Closed Network Test. However, it is unlikely, that there will be full crossplay support.
